Seal skin is a product of the Inuit territories in Northern Canada. The skin was used to make waterproof shoes, jackets, jewelry, as well as waterproof boats. The pelt material used in this product was gifted to me by Hannah Tooktoo Koneak, an Inuk artist, maker, student and mother. As such, 50 percent of proceeds made from the Seal Skin collection will go back to Hannah.
